
JOINING THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS AUXILIARY
Joining the VFW Auxiliary provides you with an avenue to both honor your family member’s military service and support others who have also served our nation in a war on foreign soil.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Members of the VFW Auxiliary must be citizens of the United States or a United States National and must be a minimum of 16 years old.

Grandfathers or Grandmothers

Sons or Daughters
-
Grandsons or Granddaughters

Brothers or Sisters
of a veteran who has received a campaign medal for overseas service, who has served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea, or who has ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay.
[Step and adopted parents, children, siblings (and half-siblings), grandparents and grandchildren are considered the same as biological parents, children, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, and may join the VFW Auxiliary under their eligible veteran.]

Substantiation of the veteran’s service is required and must be provided by the Applicant. A copy of a veteran’s DD-214, DD-215, or DD-1300 should be attached to your application for membership.
A copy of a DD-214 or DD-215 can usually be found on record at the Town Hall where the veteran lived if he/she was a property or motor vehicle owner.
